Barbara’s Experience
Barbara Montgomery may have been born in St. Louis, but you can’t say she hasn’t established her roots as a “true Houstonian.” This University of Texas alumna has lived in our city for more than 27 years and brings a multitude of experience to Greenwood King Properties. This dynamic veteran originally joined the real estate industry as a way to support her children and still be able to hold a flexible work schedule, but it soon blossomed into a successful career.

Greenwood King’s firm integrity and clear presence in the areas and neighborhoods Barbara specializes (Southgate, West University, the Medical Center, Montrose, Rice/Military and Bellaire), made it an easy choice for her to come aboard. Barbara has truly grasped the intricacies of the various areas she services through her tremendous attention to detail and solid knowledge of the market. She always puts her clients best interests first and her chief objective is that “clients understand the process of buying a home and know as much as possible about the contract, the market and the property.”

When asked of her industry advice, Barbara replied “I believe real estate to be a service industry, one which puts the clients ‘needs and wants’ paramount, and it is of the utmost importance to ensure their satisfaction and actual pleasure in buying or selling.”

Barbara’s Personal Side
On a typical Sunday morning, Barbara attends First Presbyterian Church. She also has previous experience volunteer tutoring at HISD schools. In her free time, Barbara enjoys playing duplicate bridge with her friends or getting some fresh air by walking in her neighborhood. She and her husband Tom also spend a great deal of time keeping track of their extensive family, consisting of 5 children and 10 grandchildren.
