George’s Experience
One of George Sutherland’s defining career moments came with the successful close of a $1 billion per year oil purchase contract. But that’s just the beginning. George now brings his honed negotiating skills, from his more than 37 years experience with international petroleum trading, to his clients in the Houston real estate industry.

This sixth-generation Texan has held numerous positions as vice president for various refining companies and is a member of the “Petroleum 25 Year Club,” established for senior executives who have contributed to the development of the industry. George is confident that his broad business experience and excellent negotiating skills will yield stellar results for buyers and sellers alike.

George and Greenwood King
George’s desire to help others, combined with his long-time interest in real estate, complements the Greenwood King team. George believes solid teamwork is one of the features that makes GK “the best real estate firm in Houston.” He specializes in Houston’s top neighborhoods, having lived in various neighborhoods and areas such as River Oaks, West University and West Houston.

George’s Personal Side
George graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor in Business Administration and then pursued graduate studies at several universities around the world, including Butler University, the University of Houston and St. Catherine’s College in Oxford. When he’s not devoting time to his clients, George is actively involved in his church, St. John the Divine and grandfathering. Other interests include Alpha Houston, various civic and charitable activities, wine and travel.
